Residents of other geographic areas are included in the results reported for all adults, registered voters, and likely voters, but sample sizes for these less-populous areas are not large enough to report separately. Craig Steven Richard, age 54, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Courtyard Health and Rehabilitation. Craig was born on February 8,1968 in El Dorado, AR; the son of Frank and Mary Lou Moore Richard. Craig was a 1990 graduate of Holdenville High School in Holdenville, OK and had worked several years at Benchmark Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Wilma Hansen and sister-in-law Camille Epperley.

Satisfaction was higher in our February survey when 53 percent of adults and 48 percent of likely voters were satisfied with democracy in America. Today, half of Democrats and about four in ten independents are satisfied, compared to about one in five Republicans. Across regions, half of residents in the San Francisco Bay Area (52%) and the Inland Empire (50%) are satisfied, compared to fewer elsewhere. Across demographic groups, fewer than half are satisfied, with the exception of Latinos (56%), those with a high school degree or less (55%), and those making less than $40,000 (53%). Rev. Jimmy Clyde Miller, 72, of Crossett, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed on to his Heavenly home on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Father Ramses stated Maria built a bridge between the Hispanic and Caucasian church community at St Barbara’s. She also helped build relationship in her own family and extended family here in Gillham. We all have wonderful memories of sharing meals and fellowship. She worked as a waitress, teachers assistant and home maker. She was an avid fan of the Pagosa Springs Pirates and she cheered them on during their winnings and losses. She solely prepared a delicious dinner for the entire team and coaches.

Tim was an avid fan of Arkansas Razorback football and softball, and enjoyed going to concerts, the beach, watching wrestling, fishing, going to the casino, and loved his fur babies. Tim best spent his time with Bonnie, their children, and grandchildren. Doug, as he was known to his family and friends, was born to Roy Joe and Ira LaNell Hammon Akin on Monday, March 28, 1960, in Texarkana, Texas, the youngest of two children. He was a 1978 graduate of Fouke High School and went on to attend Berean Bible College.
Doug was actively involved with the De Queen Rotary Club for more than fifteen years, having served on the Board of Directors and as Past-President. He was ordained with the Assembly of God Church and honorably served in any capacity when needed. He was immovable in his faith and shared the word of God with everyone he could.
In 1991, Jody moved to Crossett and began a twenty-eight-year career with the Arkansas Forestry Commission. Donna Gayle Collier, 59, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. She was born in Monticello, Arkansas on Christmas Day in 1962, to her parents, Everett and Virginia Donaldson Kelley. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County and a member of Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. For several years Donna served on the Ashley County Fair Board and worked as the Sherriff of the First United Methodist Church voting center in Hamburg.
Brandon Jeremy Ward, age 41, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, August 5, 2022 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Mr. Jose Luis Salinas Martinez, age 47, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. Elta Bress, age 20, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Monday, August 1, 2022 at Little River Nursing and Rehab in Ashdown, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church C/O Fred Cox, Jr., 1760 Provo Rd., Lockesburg, AR 71846.
Cory was born January 4, 1972, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Charles Edward Ramsey and Cris Mayola Wright, one of three children. He was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School and later worked for Wal Mart. Cory accepted Christ at a young age and attended the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Lockesburg.
Diannia was a devoted Christian lady and loyal member of Wright City First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed serving as Sunday School Secretary and Missionettes teacher and dearly loved all her girls. In her younger years she loved Square Dancing and enjoyed fishing and taking care of her dogs and birds. She was a loving wife, mother and granny and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will also cherish her memory.
She worked several years as a Dietician for the Gillham School Cafeteria and later worked more than twenty years for the De Queen Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church and Eastern Star. Hazel enjoyed fishing, being involved with the Women’s Ministry, teaching Sunday School, reading, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Charles Buck of De Queen; one son, Matthew Huston of De Queen; three brothers, David Huston of Broken Bow, Steven Huston of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Huston of Cartwright, Oklahoma; two sisters, Susy McGuffin of Horatio, AR, Kathy Huston of New Boston, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mom was formerly from DeQueen, and was a teacher not only in the public school system for 31 years, but also taught others about Jesus every chance she got. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Wanda Lee Watkins Haarmeyer and her husband, Mitchell Riley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kellie Sutton and one brother, Donny Sutton.
